Iron Chefs' restaurants!!

Have you seen Iron Chef on television? I remembered when I first watched it on tv, it was the Japanese series of Iron Chef's battles in the kitchen. It has the words translated from Japanese to English. They were so funny and 'ugly' to hear. I wondered why they can't get better translators. Anyway, I still enjoyed the show very much. Firstly, it was because I love watching cooking show. Iron Chef's show series are more interesting in which each battle, they have to battle in an hour to cook something from the theme ingredients of the battles. The contenders can choose which Iron Chef to challenge.

I have watched Iron Chef America series a few times but for the past one year, I watched even more frequently in fact most of the episodes. I just love the very fact that these Iron Chef could produce such a good food in a so short period of time with ingredient they did not know beforehand. It is amazing! I am sure all of you know from the series about Kitchen Stadium where the battle is, the host of the show, Alton Brown (you should watch Good Eats too!), the weird Chairman and of course the current Iron Chefs; Mario Batali, Cat Cora, Bobby Flay, Masaharu Morimoto, and Michael Symon.

I can never imagined that I would be able to go to eat at their restaurants. That never was in my plan though it was in my mind. I am so thankful that I got to go to two restaurants on the same day. The food is so amazing. I was visiting Atlantic City with a friend and Bobby Flay Steak's restaurant was in our plan. When we reached there around 5.30pm, there were no seating tables for us. We did not make reservation before hand because we thought it is early and recession may help to ease the crowd a little. We were so wrong. We were told that the next available seating table was at 10.45pm. We were about to decide to drive to Philadelphia to go to Morimoto's restaurant instead (which was originally also was in our plan if we have time). We called to make reservation at Morimoto's restaurant and a table is available at 9.45pm which is good to give us time to drive there.

My friend went up to the waiter to cancel reservation for Bobby Flay's restaurant because it was too late and we need to drive back after dinner. We were told then that we could sit at the bar ordering any food and that is so good because it means we could eat at Bobby Flay Steak, drive to PA and eat at Morimoto's. I know this sounds crazy and in my mind, I still can't grasp hold the very fact that it was two Iron Chefs' restaurants in a row, drive from one state to another and paid so much for the food. But, all these are so good and worth it (it was a very kind farewell gift ^v^). The food is so good and amazing at both restaurants!!
